Cardboard Likely Cause of Liquor Store Fire

There were no injuries when a smoke fire broke out Wednesday afternoon in the basement of a Bloomfield liquor store. According to Deputy Fire Chief J.R. Gehringer, smoke likely caused by cardboard ignited in the basement of Forest Hill Liquors on Belleville Avenue. 

Bloomfield Celebrates Fourth of July at Foley Field

Fireworks returned to Foley Field on the Fourth. But that’s not all. Bloomfield’s fireworks kicked off at 9:20 p.m after Bloomfield families enjoyed music, games and rides starting at 7:30 p.m.
