Jaleel Jiminez is the BHS ShopRite Athlete of the Month
The Brookdale ShopRite makes a donation to the Bloomfield United Way each month in recognition of an outstanding student athlete. Jiminez was the February 2012 Athlete of the Month.
Jaleel Jiminez is February's Athlete of the Month, a community recognition award sponsored by the Brookdale ShopRite.
Jiminez has led his team to the most victories by a Bengals Boys Basketball team since 1977, according to BHS Athletic Director Steve Jenkins.

The Squad won the Bengal Holiday Tournament, reached the Semi-Finals of the Essex County Tourney, and are currently competing in the NJSIAA State Tournament.
Jiminez was selected for the first team All-Super Essex Conference Liberty Division for his fine play, said Jenkins. He averages 12 points and seven assists per game.

Jiminez is also a member of the Bloomfield Bengals football team.
Recently, the Bengals Boys Basketball team assisted the Youth Basketball Cinic sponsored by the Bloomfield Recreation Department.
The Bloomfield High School Athlete of the Month Award is sponsored by the Brookdale ShopRite, which makes a donation to the Bloomfield United Way in recognition of the winner.
