  • Baseball had a successful week, emerging with a hard fought 4-2 win over Columbia. Anthony Coco got the win. The boys followed up with a 9-2 drubbing of Morris Knolls in non-league action. Jared Guglielmino sparked the offense with a Home Run. The week concluded with highly touted Seton Hall besting the Bengals.
  • Softball played well in defeat to State ranked Mount Saint Dominic. The team battled to a 1-1 tie in regulation before the Bengals succumbed 6-1in eight innings. The girls bounced back with a 7-5 win over Cedar Grove.
  • Volleyball dropped their only match of the week to League rival Livingston.
  • Tennis lost to West Essex in their season opener.
  • Golf dropped a league match to Caldwell.

 

Track split two dual meets; besting Barringer and losing to Millburn by three points. The team also participated in the Metuchen Relays. Place winners at Metuchen included the boys javelin-3rd place; girls javelin-3rd place; Carissa Smith-400 Hurdles-4th place; boys sprint medley-5th place and Steve Taste-long jump-5th place.
