Residents Report Stolen GPS Units

Police Blotter for the Week of April 2. The following information was supplied by the Bloomfield Police Dept. It does not indicate a conviction for any of the arrests listed.

 

BURGLARY

On Wednesday, March 28, a woman on the 200 block of Davey Street reported that she noticed several items moved by an open window in the past couple days. The victim also reports that a set of spare keys were taken.

BURGLARY INTO AUTO

On Friday March 30, in the parking lot of 250 Glenwood Avenue, a 2005 Nissan was broken into.  A driver’s side window was reportedly broken and the glove box contents were removed.

On Friday March 30, on the 400 block of Berkeley Avenue, a 2010 Hyundai was burglarized (no signs of forced entry) and $2 in change was missing.

On Friday March 30, on the 100 block of Spruce Street, a 2007 Toyota was burglarized (no signs of forced entry) and a gold ID card was taken.

On Friday March 30, in the municipal parking lot on Farrand Street, a 2005 Honda was burglarized and a passenger window was broken. A Garmin GPS was taken.

 

STOLEN VEHICLES

On Thursday March 29, a 2005 Land Rover with a temporary Indiana registration was stolen on Fulton Street.

On Thursday March 29, a 2008 Honda with a NJ registration was stolen on the 100 block of Bloomfield Avenue.

On Friday March 30, a 1998 Dodge with a NJ registration was stolen at the corner of Charles Street & Cross Street.

 

THEFT FROM VEHICLES

On Monday, March 26, a man reported that a CD radio, an IPOD, loose change, and an F.O.P. shield were stolen out of his vehicle on the 100 block of N 15th Street.

On Wednesday, March 28, a Tom-Tom GPS unit and a change purse were taken from a 2006 Toyota on Baldwin Street.

On Wednesday, March 28, a Tom Tom GPS unit and some loose change were taken from a 2010 Hyundai at the corner of Curtis Street and Valentine Road.

On Thursday March 29, a GPS unit (unknown on brand) was taken from a 2004 Nissan on the 100 block of Curtis Street.

 

THEFT

On Sunday, April 1, a woman reported that unknown person/s, stole her wallet while she was working on Park Place. The wallet contained various credit cards and forms of ID.

On Sunday, April 1, a man told police that he left his belongings, including his wallet, in his gym bag inside a locker and when he returned about two hours later the bag was gone.  The incident occurred at the corner of Bloomfield Avenue and Burroughs Place.

 

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

3-30-2012  - On Bloomfield Ave & Ampere Parkway a 2008 Chrysler was damaged  

4-3-2012 – On the 100 block of Broad St. a witness reported hearing glass break and found a front window smashed out.

 

ARRESTS

3-27-2012  - Odale Graham of East Orange was arrested for DWI & Poss. of CDS

3-27-2012 - Steve Sapp of East Orange was arrested for Contempt.

3-27-2012 - Mark Willis of Irvington was arrested for Contempt. 

3-29-2012 - Yannick Layne of Bloomfield was arrested for CDS.

3-29-2012 - Winfred Harris of Newark was arrested for Warrants.

3-31-2012 - Latashia Lowe of Newark was arrested for Shoplifting.

3-31-2012 - Merve Parris of Bloomfield was arrested for DUI.

4-01-2012 - Ernest Galloway of Newark was arrested for DWI.

4-1-2012 - Rafeal Cuevas of Newark was arrested for Shoplifting.

4-3-2012 - Dashon Kirby of Bloomfield was arrested for Warrants.
