Bloomfield Man Hospitalized After Being Hit By Car

Victim's condition was listed as stable on Wednesday afternoon.

 

A Bloomfield resident was hit by a car at approximately 6:20 pm Tuesday evening, according to the Bloomfield Police Department.

The 47-year-old man was struck by the vehicle on Mountain Avenue near Broad Street, said Captain Joe Pulido at the Bloomfield Police Department.  The victim was transported to the trauma unit at University Hospital in Newark, where he was listed in stable condition as of 12:00 noon Wednesday. No other details of his condition are currently available.

The driver of the car is also a Bloomfield resident, but it is not known if any summonses will be issued. The investigation is open at this time.
