Monday is day for shopping specials online.
Instead of braving early morning cold temperatures and the crowds at the mall, here comes a shopping day every person can enjoy from the comfort of his or her own home. Cyber Monday—the retail day for shopping online this holiday season—takes place on the first Monday after the Thanksgiving holiday. Last year, consumers spent an estimated $13.55 billion on e-commerce starting on Nov. 29, 2010 through Christmas Eve, according to ComScore.com. As shoppers leave Black Friday and Small Business Saturday behind, the e-commerce season begins. Online shoppers may enjoy the convenience of shopping from the comfort of home, avoiding long lines, parking hassles, wrapping gifts and trudging to the post office to mail gifts. Lorna Luft lifts Irving Berlin showcase to near perfection at the Paper Mill Playhouse.
When all else fails, you can’t go wrong with Irving Berlin. Even when everything’s going right, a little Irving Berlin always makes it better. Right now, it’s all good at Paper Mill Playhouse. Inside, the merriment continued as this colorful and charming musical put everyone in the Christmas mood—perhaps a little early for cynics, …

Unlike other area shopping centers, shoppers were sparse at the mall this morning; but filled up in the afternoon.
There were no signs of Black Friday's deal-busting madness at The Mall at Short Hills Friday morning. Shoppers at the upscale mall in northern New Jersey walked casually from store to store and carried few bags during the hours that were crowded and hectic at other malls and big box stores. The only difference from a regular shopping day? It was 8 a.m., two hours before the mall usually opens. At some stores, Black Friday offered shoppers unprecedented deals if they made their purchases before 9 a.m. or, in some cases, noon. At the Macy's in Short Hills, employee Kathy Graul, of Union, said, "It's definitely not Target and Kohl's, but I think for the people who shop in the Short Hills Mall, the sales are good." She said some customers …
