A pizza delivery man was carjacked at gunpoint the night before Thanksgiving in the south end of Bloomfield, police said. The 2006 Honda Accord was taken last Wednesday on Ampere Parkway near Floyd Avenue at 11:15 p.m., said Sgt. Anthony Servedio, spokesperson of the Bloomfield Police Department. The 39-year-old delivery man, who was only identified as a New York resident, was removing delivery items from the backseat when he was approached from behind by a suspect pointing a gun, police said. After jumping into the Honda, the suspect fled in reverse and picked up another suspect waiting on the corner of Floyd Avenue. Crash occurred Thursday afternoon at Ampere Parkway and Chester Avenue

It has since been updated with new information.] A Bloomfield police SUV was one of three cars involved in a crash Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Ampere Parkway and Chester Avenue. Witnesses said the impact caused the police SUV to flip over and then upright itself. The other two cars involved were a gold Toyota Camry and red Buick Lacrosse, which had its driverside airbag deployed. Police release descriptions of four men wanted in two separate incidents
Police are searching for four men wanted in connection to two robberies over the weekend in south Bloomfield. Last Saturday, at around 3 a.m., three men approached a woman on the 100 block of N. 17th Street as she walked to her home, according to Sgt. Anthony Servedio, Bloomfield Police Department spokesperson. The men, who had exited a white mini-van, were armed with black and silver handguns and demanded she give them her keys, cell phone and purse. After some resistance, the woman gave them her purse and phone but not her keys. The men fled the area in the mini-van, traveling west on First Avenue toward Ampere Parkway.
