Here is a rundown of what happened this week in town.

A Bloomfield doctor accused of sexually assaulting multiple female patients was found not guilty by an Essex County Superior Court judge on Friday.  A bomb threat referencing Montclair High School and its cross town rival Bloomifeld prompted the evacuation of Montclair students and faculty around 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to a school official.  A good Samaritan was hit in the face with a gun while trying to interrupt a robbery of three young men at gunpoint, according to the Bloomfield Police Department.  The Bloomfield School District budget will end the year in the black, but a lower than usual surplus may end up having an impact on next year’s tax levy.  A Bloomfield teenager was carjacked at gunpoint last weekend, according to …

"Find out what they've heard and then really validate their feelings," Silvestry said.  Silvestry advises against making dismissive statements such as "Everything's going to be fine." "You never want them to feel that they're wrong for feeling what they're feeling," she said. "You have to give them time and let them process it.
