Limited Service on Montclair-Boonton Line Begins Wednesday

NJ Transit announces limited train schedule for Montclair-Boonton line, which runs through Bloomfield's two stations

Limited service on the Montclair-Boonton line to New York City and Hoboken will resume Wednesday morning, New Jersey Transit announced. Service will operate during peak periods between 6 and 10 a.m. and 4 and 8 p.m. as follows: One train to Penn Station New York per hour and one train to Hoboken Terminal per hour. Service will also operate on a limited basis due to single-track operations during off-peak hours, NJ Transit said in a press release. Bloomfield Shuttles Back on Schedule

Shuttles will operate on altered schedule until NJ Transit service is restored

The Bloomfield Shuttle Buses resumed their regular morning schedule Tuesday in order to accommodate commuters affected by the suspension of New Jersey Transit's Montclair-Boonton line. Both the north and south end shuttles will be picking up residents and taking them to the Bloomfield train station and the Grove Street Light Rail Station, upon request. NJ Transit has implemented a free shuttle bus service from the Bloomfield station to the ferry in Weehawken until train lines to New York City are restored. In the evening, the north and south end shuttles will be at the Bloomfield station only to return commuters back to their regular evening drop-off locations.
