Local elementary school students enjoy dinosaur educational trip.
Despite the pouring rain, 2nd graders from Brookdale Elementary School made the most of their field trip to Field Station Dinosaurs in Secaucus last Thursday, May 9.

The Turtle Back Zoo and Medieval Times join together today to celebrate the zoo's Komodo Dragon.
Turtle Back Zoo is celebrating the introduction of their prized new Komodo dragon Saturday with a day of dragon-themed shows from Medieval Times, geared towards the whole family. The Lyndhurst-based troupe promises plenty of sword fighting and chivalry while they search for dragons as part of their show in one of the zoo’s fields. They will perform at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. and will give away free tickets to Medieval Times during each show. All for regular admission to the zoo. This is the second event of many the zoo will have to mark the unveiling of their new giant endangered lizard. The 15-foot animated T-Rex is one of the animatronic dinosaurs the Field House Outdoor Jurassic Park in Secaucus.

A gigantic 15-foot animated T-Rex is touring the libraries of Northern New Jersey-- and his next stop is the Bloomfield Public Library! As if that's not enough, dinosaur handlers and troubadours will be on hand to sing fun dino songs. T-Rex is one of more than 30 interactive or animatronic dinosaurs featured at Field Station, a 24-Acre Outdoor Jurassic Park now open in Secaucus. Visitors will go back 90 million years with puppet shows starring T-Rex, a dig site and interactive educational games and workshops.
