The following comes courtesy of Bloomfield High School's athletic department. -------- Bloomfield Wrestling earned three Championships at the District level. Kyle Christiansen repeated while Nick Saccaro and Adam Wooten captured their initial titles. Also advancing to the Regions were second place finishers Nate Garcia, Isaiah Thomas, Stanley Dameus and Chris Collado, and third place winners Justin Corio and Chris Collado. Girls Basketball wrapped up an undefeated league schedule thumping West Side.This is the girls first league title in over a decade. Boys Basketball overcame a tough Watchung Hills quintet in independent action. Serhiy Kralka competed at the Meet of Champions in the Shot Put throwing 48’. Cheerleading won their second …

Registration is already underway for the township's summer youth sports clinics. This summer, the Bloomfield Recreation Department is offering over 25 unique programs over the course of eight weeks. Among the new activities being offered this year are Intro to Magic and Intro to Chess. Registration costs for each program is $30 for Bloomfield residents and $40 for out-of-town participants, with the exception of the Intro to Magic, Intro to Rock and Intro to Chess classes. These classes carry a fee of $40 for residents and $50 for out-of-town families. Parents interested in registering their child for a clinic may do so online using the CommunityPass service.
