Mark your calendars for Bloomfield Education Foundation fundraiser January 13.
Hoopsters are invited to play basketball and earn money for a good cause through the Ted Jasieniecki Alumni basketball game. Money raised from the 23rd annual alumni game will benefit the Bloomfield Education Foundation. The game is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. in the Bloomfield High School main gym, with a snow date set for Friday, Jan. 20. Ted Jasieniecki was an active member of the Bloomfield community and longtime member of the Lion’s Club. In November 1987, he died of cancer at the age of 37. Jasieniecki was one of the best basketball players in Bloomfield‘s history. Ted was one of the few players to join the elite 1,000-point club at Bloomfield High School. The Bloomfield Educational Foundation will sponsor an Alumni Tailgate Party for all Bloomfield High School graduates on Saturday, October 1 at Memorial Park, overlooking newly renovated Foley Field, from Noon-3PM. Admission is $25 per person and includes access to seating under a 20 x 40 foot tent, Town Pub’s famous thin crust pizzas and appetizers, several 6 ft subs, munchies and a 14 oz. commemorative mug which can be filled up inside the tent with beer, wine or soda. Traditional tailgate games will be available for those wishing to participate in horseshoes, bean bags, ladder ball and flag football.
