Two masked men made off with cigarettes and cash, police say.
Bloomfield police say two men robbed a Broad Street convenience store at gunpoint last week. According to a Bloomfield police report, on March 29, two men armed with handguns robbed the store, located on the 300 block of Broad Street at approximately 9:25 p.m. Police say the men held the clerk at bay as they took an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes before fleeing, apparently on foot. The first alleged robber was described as a black male with a large build wearing a facemask, green hooded sweatshirt, gloves and a baseball cap. Suspects described as two tall black males.
Bloomfield police say that two armed men robbed a Broad Street convenience store earlier this month, making off with cash and cigarettes. According to a police report, on Wednesday, Feb. 13, two black males entered a convenience store on Broad St. with what police describe as obvious intentions of committing a robbery. The first suspect, described as 6 feet tall and wearing jeans, a black ski mask and a burgundy jacket with the letters “NW” on the front, reportedly pulled out a silver automatic handgun and ordered the manager to get on the floor. Two men have been arrested for their alleged roles in an attempted robbery on Thomas Street March 2. The victim reported that the men approached her as she was getting out of her car on Thomas Street near Washington Street last Friday. When one of the men pointed a silver handgun at her and demanded her wallet, the woman screamed for help. The suspects fled without taking any money. Bloomfield Officers Mike Moleski and Davin Lehman, assisted by Montclair Police Officer Steven Iberer, were able to get a positive identification of one of the men. The Valero gas station on 630 Bloomfield Avenue was robbed on Monday afternoon.
The Valero gas station located at 630 Bloomfield Avenue was the scene of an armed robbery on Monday afternoon, according to a Bloomfield Police Department release. At 5:25 p.m., police say two black men arrived at the station in a gold colored four-door vehicle, possibly a Dodge, with a temporary registration sticker on the rear window. One of the men exited the vehicle and threatened an attendant with a black hand gun. According to police, the gunman told the attendant, "Give me the money or else I will shoot you". The attendant compiled with the order and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect. The two men then proceeded to flee the station in their vehicle and headed south on Ward Street.
