A look at noteworthy events and news in Bloomfield in the coming week.

At their Tuesday regular meeting, Bloomfield’s Township council will vote on plans for development in Bloomfield center. The agenda includes two discussions on property at the intersection of Bloomfield Ave., Liberty Ave. and Broad Street.

Last week, the council approved plan to develop a new apartment and retail complex at Bloomfield Center. Under the terms of the plan, the town will get a new occupant for the vacant Annie Sez space on Broad Street, 140 new apartment residences and 11,000 square feet of new retail space, reported Bloomfield Life. In return, the development would pay an annual fee of $330,000 each year for 30 years in lieu of paying taxes.
