Register Monday Night for Youth Basketball and Wrestling Teams

The Bloomfield Recreation Department will hold registration for both girls and boys intown and suburban basketball leagues, as well as for recreational and travel wrestling, on Monday night. 

There are two ways to register for the programs – in person at the Civic Center Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. or Wednesday nights from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. – or online at bloomfieldrecreation.org

Wrestling: Returning third and fourth-graders (from last season) and all fifth through eighth-graders are eligible for the wrestling teams.  Practices will be held at Bloomfield High School on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6 p.m.–8 p.m.  The first practice will be held on Monday, Nov. 14.

To be selected for both suburban traveling teams, participants must be Bloomfield residents.

Basketball: there will be a $45 registration fee for registration on or before Wednesday, Nov. 2. The fee will be $50 after that date. 

The registration fee for the wrestling program is $45. 

All basketball participants should attend all three tryouts. 

Participants selected for the basketball teams will be assessed an additional $15 fee. 

Those not selected for the suburban basketball team will be placed in the intown program. 

Basketball tryouts will be held at Bloomfield High School on the following days and times:

Boys Tryouts Monday, Nov. 7 6 & 7th Grades 5-6 p.m. 8th Grade 6:15-7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8 6 & 7th Grades 7:30-8:30 p.m. 8th Grade 8:30-9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9 6 & 7th Grades 5-6 p.m. 8th Grade 6:15-7:15 p.m. Girls Tryouts Monday, Nov. 7 6th & 7th Grade 7:30-8:30 p.m. 8th Grade 8:30-9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8 6th & 7th Grades 5-6 p.m 8th Grade 6:15-7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9 6th & 7th Grades 7:30-8:30 p.m. 8th Grade 8:30-9:30 p.m.
