Bloomfield Eighth Grade Girls Advance in Playoffs

Championship game has moved to Saturday, Feb. 23 at 12 p.m. at Orange High School.

Late in the fourth quarter, with Bloomfield clinging to a precarious 31-26 lead, Anna Perrotta, came off the bench a nailed the shot of the game. At a time when it seemed that Bloomfield couldn’t buy a bucket, Perrotta’s two pointer gave her team give some breathing room and took the steam out of a ferocious Glen Ridge come back.

The Bengals went on to win 38-28 and will face Orange on Feb. 23 for the Suburban Essex Basketball League Championship.

Nalya Hill finished with 10 points and Alivia Alston had 8 to lead Bloomfield in scoring.
