BHS Girls Soccer Defeats Science Park in First Round of Essex County Tourney

The following is courtesy the BHS athletic department.

• Girls Soccer upended Science Park 3-1 in the opening round of the Essex County Tournament. The girls also played well in the next round losing to #5 seeded Millburn.
• Girls Tennis continued their late season surge with wins over Shabazz and East Orange.
• Boys Soccer advanced in the County Tournament with a convincing 5-1 decision over Technology. They also bested Barringer.
• Girls Cross Country finished second in their Division at the SEC Championship Meet. Ryan Wallace was the top male finisher.
• Football dropped a close game to old rival Clifton.
• Girls Volleyball showed they are moving in the right direction with close losses to Nutley and Roselle Catholic.

Former BHS Coach Patrick Naughter is now the Women’s Soccer Coach at Montclair State. His squad is currently undefeated and ranked #6 in the country among Division III Schools.
