Kyle Christiansen is BHS Athlete of the Month

The Bloomfield high school athlete of the month for march is senior wrestler Kyle Christiansen.

A team captain, Kyle recently captured his second straight district championship at 170 lbs. He is also a one time Essex county champion and was selected fro the first team all-super Essex conference and second team all-Essex county. Kyle was also a member of the Bengal football squad.

Kyle has earned scholar-athlete status in each of the seasons he has competed and has a weighted GPA of 5.0 and attained a perfect score on the math portion of the SATs. He will attend Carnegie-Mellon University in the fall.

The Bloomfield High School athlete of the month award is sponsored by the Brookdale ShopRite, which will make a donation to the Bloomfield united way in recognition of each month’s winner.
