Foley Field Withstands Wind, Rain from Hurricane Irene

High School Field Ready for Opening Night on Sept. 9 Vs. Belleville

Steve Jenkins of the Bloomfield Public Schools reports the newly renovated Foley Field survived the affects of Hurricane Irene unscathed.

The field, at Bloomfield High School, will officially be broken in on Friday, Sept. 9 when the Bloomfield Bengals play their first home game in two years against rival Belleville High School.

The 75-year-old stadium closed more than two years ago for a $2.9 million dollar renovation.
