UPDATE: Five Candidates File to Run for Bloomfield School Board
One incumbent and four challengers for three open seats (UPDATE: one candidate who filed paperwork is not running.
Five candidates have filed petitions for the three open seats on Bloomfield's School Board election according to the Essex County Clerk's office.
Shane Berger is the sole incumbent to run. Robert DeMarino and Maribel Perez, who won three year terms on the board in 2010 alongside Berger, are sitting out the race.
Former board member Diana Fuller has filed paperwork to run. Fuller joined the board in 2009 and missed a 2012 reelection bid by a mere four votes.

Djanna Hill Tall, a Professor of Science and Urban Education at William Paterson University, has filed paperwork to run for the board as well as Jill Fischman..
UPDATE: Paul Boxer, a professor on the faculty at Rutgers University in Newark, filed to run but in a message to Patch said he is no longer running.
