Book Club Reads The Alchemist: a Fable About Following Your Dream in June

The next meeting of the Bloomfield Public Library Book Club will be on Monday, June 6th at 7:00 PM in the Conference Room.  The topic of discussion will be The Alchemist: a Fable About Following Your Dream  by Paulo Coelho.

In this deceptively simple story, a Spanish shepherd has a dream about a treasure and travels the world in search of it.  Along the way, he meets many spiritual guides.  This inspirational novel was a best-seller in the author’s native Brazil and has been translated into over seventy languages.

Paulo Coelho has been an actor, theatre director, journalist, and lyricist.  He was named a Messenger of Peace to the United Nations.  The Paulo Coelho Institute assists underprivileged children and the elderly.
