Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen Visits Spotlight School Bloomfield Middle

Bloomfield Middle School received a special visitor last week after it recently made a splash with the New Jersey Association of Middle Level Education.

Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen paid a visit to the school Friday as part of his years worth of visits to schools in District 11 and to recognize it for its efforts.

Bloomfield has been named one of the NJAMLE Spotlight Schools for its distinguished practices in education. Schools are granted the title for academic excellence, developmental responsiveness and social equity.

Students got the chance to interact with Frelinghuysen in an assembly that allowed them to ask the congressman their questions.

"[When I visit schools] I always come away with a sense of pride and optimism – pride in the education our schools are offering our children and optimism in the future knowing the rising generation is being well prepared to take their place in our communities in the years ahead," Frenlinghuysen said on his website.
