Bloomfield High School Senior and bowling team member John Festa is Bloomfield high school’s February athlete of the month.
Festa won the individual sectional champion with a 694 series John and his individual achievement led his team to the New Jersey state section ii championship. At the championship, he advanced to the second round of the state individual tournament while posting a 719 series, ultimately finishing 17th in the state. He had the highest average in the super Essex conference American division.
John was selected first team all super Essex conference American division for his overall play. John will continue his bowling and academic career at William Paterson University.

The Bloomfield high school athlete of the month award is sponsored by the Brookdale Shop-Rite, which will make a donation to the Bloomfield united way in recognition of each month’s winner.
