Bloomfield High School Athlete of the Month: Jenna Orlando
Volleyball captain is also a star in the classroom
Bloomfield High School senior volleyball captain Jenna Orlando has been named Athlete of the Month for September.
In the Bengals' first five matches, Orlando notched 59 kills and leads the team in kills this season. She has also recorded 53 digs and 12 aces and was the team leader and captain last season.
Orland is also a star in the classroom, ranked No. 20 of 474 students with a weighted GPA of 4.83. She plans to continue her athletic career at Lafayette College as part of their softball program.

Orlando and her teammates have also pitched in with a food drive for a local community food bank.
The Bloomfield High School Athlete of the Month award is sponsored by Brookdale ShopRite, which makes a donation to the Bloomfield United Way in recognition of each month's athlete.
