Bloomfield College Student Nominated for Student Teacher Award

Bacot-Edwards, '13, was a student teacher at Carteret School.

Bloomfield College Student Michelle Bacot-Edwards has been nominated for the 2013 New Jersey Distinguished Student Teacher Award. 

Bacot-Edwards, '13, was a student teacher at Carteret School in Bloomfield this spring and will receive a P–3 Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing and a Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing. 

She is the vice president of Kappa Delta Pi, and has received honors and awards including most recently the Excellence in Educational Leadership and Excellence in Early Childhood Curriculum.

Awarde by the New Jersey Department of Education, the Distinguished Student Teacher Award recognizes the fifteen top graduates of teacher education programs in New Jersey's colleges and universities each year.
