Maribel Perez Joins Republican Ticket for Council-At-Large Seat

BOE member replaces previous candidate Robert Goworek.

Maribel Perez is leaving the Board of Education and looking to join Bloomfield’s township Council.

At the Bloomfield Republican County Committee meeting last week, a unanimous vote placed Maribel Perez on the Republican slate for Council-At-Large. 

Perez replaces Robert Goworek, who Bloomfield Republicans said, resigned due to personal reasons.

After the meeting the candidates for Mayor and Council-At-Large joined a fundraising reception with over 100 people in attendance at the Knights of Columbus Hall.       

"We are thrilled to have Maribel join the Republican ticket for the Counil-At-Large seat," Bloomfield Republican Committee Chair Luis Linares said in an email. “Maribel is a respected member of our community, who has a strong commitment to Bloomfield as demonstrated by all of her efforts on the Board of Education.  She will bring a lot of experience to the ticket.”

With the campaign announcement, Perez joins Mayoral candidate Russell Mollica and council-at-large candidates Carol Humphreys and Sharon Soon.
