The Valero gas station on 630 Bloomfield Avenue was robbed on Monday afternoon.

The Valero gas station located at 630 Bloomfield Avenue was the scene of an armed robbery on Monday afternoon, according to a Bloomfield Police Department release.

At 5:25 p.m., police say two black men arrived at the station in a gold colored four-door vehicle, possibly a Dodge, with a temporary registration sticker on the rear window.

One of the men exited the vehicle and threatened an attendant with a black hand gun. According to police, the gunman told the attendant, "Give me the money or else I will shoot you".

The attendant compiled with the order and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect. The two men then proceeded to flee the station in their vehicle and headed south on Ward Street. Police combed the area, however were unable to locate either of the suspects.

The gunman is described as a muscular black male in his 30s with a beard. He was seen wearing blue jeans and a black shirt at the time of the incident.
