A 17-year-old was assaulted and robbed of his cell phone outside the Bloomfield Library, police said.
On Saturday morning at about 11:30, the teen was walking home from the bus when he noticed a muscular black male wearing a black hoodie, grey sweatpants and black Nike sneakers sitting on a bench outside the library, police said.
The man reportedly followed the teen and attacked him near State Street. Police said that after the man assaulted the teen and stole his phone, he ran toward Broad St.
