Suspect Sought in Fatal Bloomfield Shooting

Newark man wanted in connection with early morning shooting death of Belleville man.

Law Enforcement officials believe a Newark man was responsible for Saturday morning's fatal shooting of a Belleville man in Bloomfield.

 Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Bloomfield Police Chief Christopher Goul announced today that arrest warrants have been issued for Marcelus Tonic, 25.

Tonic is wanted for the murder of 24-year-old Ron E. Jean of Belleville. Jean was fatally shot on April 27 at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Beardsley Avenue in Bloomfield and was pronounced dead at 4:06 a.m.
