Surveillance Photos of Alleged Robber Released by Police

A white man, about 5-foot 10-inches tall with no facial hair is being sought by authorities in an early morning robbery last month.

Montclair Police released surveillance footage of a man robbing a local convenience store last month.

A white man in his 20s walked into the 7-Eleven, at 15 Bloomfield Ave., near the Glen Ridge border, on Feb. 16 around 6:30 a.m., according to police. The man, who was wearing a black trench coat and had his face covered with sunglasses, browsed around the store but did not pick up anything.

The man then approached the cashier and requested about $120 worth of scratch-off lottery tickets. When the clerk asked for payment, the man raised his shirt to expose what is believed to be the butt of a large knife, according to police.
