Police Investigating Several Armed Robberies

The following information has been provided by the Bloomfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Stolen Vehicles 

Oct. 11: A 1996 Plymouth was stolen from 180 Franklin St. 

Oct. 14: A 1998 Honda was stolen from the 200 block of Jerome Place.

Oct. 17: A 2009 Infinity was stolen from the 50 block of Coolidge Avenue.

Theft From Vehicles

Oct. 12: A man reported someone entered his car at 1455 Broad St. and stole a gold ring, an iPod charger and a cup of loose change. 

Oct. 14: A man reported someone broke into his car on the 200 block of Washington Street and stole a gym bag containing car wash products. 

Oct. 14: A woman reported someone broke into her car on the 100 block of James Street and stole her GPS. 

Oct. 16: A man reported someone broke into his car on the 50 block of East Liberty Street and stole an iPod, headphones and $10 cash. 

Theft

Oct. 10: A woman reported someone stole her bicycle from the rear of her home on the 50 block of Martin Street. 

Oct. 12: The victim reported someone stole batteries and cut copper wiring from the cell tower located on their property on Bukowski Place.

Robbery 

Oct. 14: A man reported three men, one of whom displayed a gun, approached him near 132 Washington Street, and robbed him. 

The victim said when the men approached, the first suspect showed his gun, while the second suspect held his arms and the third suspect removed his money from his pocket. 

According to the man, the first suspect is described as 6-foot, 1-inch tall, approximately 20 years old. 

The second suspect is described as 5-foot, 8-inches tall and approximately 20 years old. 

No description is available of the third suspect.

Oct. 17: A man reported while he was walking on Clinton Street, two men exited a car and approached him, placed a handgun to his back and ordered him to lie on the ground before robbing him.

The victim reported a white iPhone, a set of keys and a wallet were taken. 

The first suspect is described as heavyset, approximately 5-foot, 11-inches tall, wearing gray sweatpants and a hoodie. 

No description was available of the second suspect except he was 6-feet tall.

Criminal Mischief

Oct. 14: A man reported someone broke a window of his business at 582 Bloomfield Ave.

Oct. 14: A woman reported someone slashed her two driver’s side tires while it was parked overnight on Rose Place. 

Oct. 14: A woman reported someone slashed her tire while her car was parked overnight on James Street. 

Oct. 14: A woman reported someone slashed two tires on her car as it was parked overnight on Rose Place. 

Oct. 15: A woman reported someone broke the window of her car on Main Terrace. 

Oct. 15: A woman reported someone keyed the side of her car on the 100 block of Ridge Avenue.

Arrests

Oct. 14: Antonio Santos of Florida was arrested for DWI. 

Oct. 15: Roman Waskiw of Union was arrested for DWI. 

Oct. 15: Dean Desilva of Bloomfield was arrested for a controlled dangerous substance.

Oct. 15:  Kenneth L. Grant of East Orange was arrested for shoplifting.
