Diamond Engagement Ring, Wedding Rings and 100 Video Games Stolen

The following information has been provided by the Bloomfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

BURGLARY 

Residential Burglaries
Dec. 6: A business owner said someone broke the front window of his business at 58 Broad St. and stole 100 assorted video games for XBox, PS3 and Wii gaming systems.

In addition, he said, eight PS3 controllers and 15 Nintendo DS systems were taken.

Dec. 6: An apartment resident on the 100 block of Alfred Lane said someone entered his apartment and stole a diamond engagement ring, a Swiss Legend watch and a gold necklace. 

Dec. 6: An apartment resident on the 200 block of Davey Street said someone entered her apartment through a livingroom window and stole jewelry and cash from her safe.

Dec. 12: Someone forcibly entered an apartment on the 100 block of Spring Street through a rear door and stole gold wedding bands, five G-Shock watches and 15 ERA baseball caps. 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

Stolen Vehicles

Dec. 7: A 1999 Honda Civic was reported stolen from 165 Franklin St. 

Dec. 8: A 1998 Honda was reported stolen from 140 Orange St. 

Dec. 12: A black, two-door 2006 Acura RSX was reported stolen from 33 Merkel Dr. 

Theft From Vehicles

Dec. 6: A man reported someone entered his car on the 100 block of Newark Avenue and stole three Alpha wheel clubs.  

Dec. 9: A man said someone damaged the door lock to his car on the 50 block of John Street and stole a GPS and some tools. 

THEFT 

Dec. 6: A woman said she left her wallet in the bathroom at 8 Franklin St. and when she returned to retrieve it, the wallet was gone. 

ROBBERY 

Criminal Mischief

Dec. 11: At 35 Park Ave., a witness reported a man, believed to be about 30 years old, broke into two coin-operated washing machines and took an unknown amount of change.  

MISCELLANEOUS 

Arrests

Dec. 9: Arelis Batista of Ridgefield was arrested for DWI. 

Dec. 10: Thomas Torre of Newark was arrested for shoplifting. 

Dec. 10: Takisha Harrison of East Orange was arrested for contempt. 

Dec. 11: Danny Rivera of Newark was arrested for DWI. 

Dec. 12: Wan Shu Liu of Flushing, N.Y. was arrested and charged with soliciting for prostitution and performing a massage without a valid permit. 

Dec. 12: Darnell Pompey of Orange was arrested for criminal trespass and resisting arrest. 

Dec. 12: Robert Gentles of Orange was arrested for criminal trespass and resisting arrest.
