Police Blotter: Residential Burglaries, Car Thefts and Criminal Mischief

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bloomfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

BURGLARY

Residential
July 23:
The victim reported an unknown person broke into three vacant apartments at 935 Broad St. and caused damage.
July 24: The victim reported an unknown person pushed in the air-conditioning unit gaining access to a business on the 180 block of Broad Street.
July 25: The victim reported an unknown person broke the window to his business on the 160 block of Glenwood Avenue. Items taken included sneakers, jeans, shoes and a change box.
July 26: The victim reported an unknown person entered his apartment at 55 Monroe Place through an open window while he and his wife slept. He reported two computers, two backpacks , a wallet containing credit cards and passports missing.
July 26: The victim reported an unknown person entered her business at 1455 Broad St. between July 23 and July 26 and stole three Dell laptop computers.    
 
 

COMMERCIAL

Attempt Theft Of Vehicles
July 24:
 A McCleod Lane resident reported an unknown person damaged both of her door locks and the ignition.
July 26: A Collins Avenue resident reported an unknown person attempted to steal his 2001 Ford Van and damaged both door locks and the ignition.

Theft From Vehicles
July 20: The victim reported an unknown person entered her vehicle on Osborne Street, but reported nothing was missing.
July 20: The victim reported an unknown person entered her vehicle on Osborne Street, but reported nothing was missing.

Theft
July 20: The victim reported an unknown person cut a lock off of a chain and stole her bicycle from 446 Broad St.
July 22: The victim reported he left his bicycle on the side of the school at 60 Huck Road and it was missing when he returned.
July 22: The victim reported an unknown person took 25 newspapers from in front of a store at 37 Charles St. prior to him opening his business.
July 24: The victim reported an unknown person stole her Track fixed gear red bicycle that was in her driveway on the 600 block of Broad Street.
July 25: The victim reported an unknown person removed used cooking oil from a storage tank in the rear of a business at 1129 Broad St.

ROBBERY

Criminal Mischief
July 25:
The victim reported an unknown person slashed her driver side tire of her parked car at 15 Ward St.

July 19:
Jose Ramos of Newark was arrested for possession of a weapon and theft.
July 19: Anthony Moyet of Bloomfield was arrested for simple assault.
July 19: Jarrel Jones of East Orange was arrested for aggravated assault and possession of a weapon.
July 20: Antonio Megaro of Bloomfield was arrested for harassment.
July 20: Wayne Wesley of Belleville was arrested for outstanding warrants.
July 21: Brian  Mitchell of Bloomfield was arrested for multiple burglary and thefts into motor vehicles.
July 23: Robert McCaskill of Newark was arrested for burglary.
July 24: Catherine McClish of East Orange was arrested for outstanding warrants.
July 24: Alberto Valecela of Newark was arrested for DWI.
July 24: Jonathan Ferraro of Jersey City was arrested for burglary and July 24: Hertilus Duvelsaint of East Orange was arrested for theft and receiving stolen property.
