A Rolex watch was stolen from a Davey Street apartment

Residential Burglary

April 27: A person reported that between 7 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., someone entered his apartment on the 200 block of Davey Street and stole a Rolex watch and cash.

April 29: A person reported someone broke into his apartment on the 100 block of Monroe Place and stole a laptop notebook.

April 30: A person reported someone entered her unlocked residence on the 100 block of Birch Street and stole a laptop computer, a guitar and a digital music recorder.

May 1: A person reported someone entered her unlocked residence on the 100 block of Newark Avenue and stole an Xbox video game system and two games.

Stolen Vehicles

April 27: A 1998 red Dodge van with New Jersey license plate number WLE54W was stolen off the 100 block of Newark Avenue.

May 1: A 2007 grey, four-door Mercedes Benz with New Jersey license plate number ZDJ61T was stolen off the 300 block of Broad Street.

Theft from Vehicles

April 30: A person reported someone broke into his vehicle parked on the 100 block of Collins Avenue and stole a GPS unit and an iPhone.

May 1: A person reported someone broke into his vehicle parked on the 100 block of Curtis Street and stole an iPhone.

A person reported someone entered her vehicle park on the 100 block of Garner Avenue and stole a flashlight and a pocketknife.

Theft

April 30: A person reported that between 5:30 and 6 a.m., someone stole 30 Star-Ledger newspaper from the front of his store.

Robbery

April 29: At 2:08 p.m., a person reported a suspect, described as a black male, attempted to carjack her on Irving Terrace. She said that after parking her car, the suspect approached her from behind and demanded her car keys. The victim refused and backed up, at which time she fell. The victim then started screaming and the suspect ran into a white older model SUV and fled the area. Three other suspects, described as black males, were inside the white SUV.

Criminal Mischief

April 27: A person reported someone broke the rear passenger window of her vehicle parked on Floyd Avenue at Grove Street.

April 29: A person reported someone broke the door lock on his vehicle parked on Columbus Street.

May 2: A person reported someone entered her vehicle parked on Mill Street and Bay Avenue and stole the knobs off the car radio. The suspect also scratched her vehicle and slashed the tires.

May 2: A person reported someone broke her passenger side window of her vehicle parked on Franklin Street, gained entry into the vehicle and stole the radio.

A person reported someone broke into his vehicle parked on N. 15th Street by breaking the driver side door lock and stole the car radio.

A person reported someone broke the passenger side window of her vehicle to gain entry. The victim states a Garmin GPS and cell phone were taken from the vehicle parked on JFK Drive and Myrtle Street.

A person reported someone stole his ECS Rack, Thule Ferring and surf pole holders from his vehicle on Willard Avenue.

A person reported someone broke the rear passenger window of his vehicle parked on Willard Avenue and attempted to remove the radio.

Arrests

April 29: Christian Valentin of Newark, N.J. was arrested for criminal trespass and hindering apprehension.

April 30: Nicole Callie of Bloomfield was arrested for shoplifting.

Jerronin Thompson of Bloomfield was arrested for DWI and assault by auto.
