Police: 6 Burglaries, 4 Stolen Vehicles Reported

Homes on Broad and Washington streets, and Lexington Avenue were broken into last week.

 

The Bloomfield Police reported the following burglaries to vehicles and homes, and stolen automobiles during the past week in the township. 

Burglary to Homes

  • On Jan. 22, a home on the 800 block of Broad Street had its front door kicked in and burglarized. A Play Station game system, a camera and jewelry were taken.
  • On Jan 24, a residence on Washington Street had cash, a laptop and Play Station game console stolen. There were no signs of forced entry. 
  • On Jan. 27, a garage on Lexington Avenue was broken into and a green bicycle was stolen.

Cars Broken Into 

  • On Jan. 22, a 2011 Subaru parked on the 100 block of Overlook Terrace was broken into and loose change was taken. A 2001 Volvo parked on Oakridge Road was also broken into that day and loose change was taken.
  • On Jan. 25, a 2010 Toyota parked on Garrabrant Avenue was broken into between the hours of 1 and 7 a.m. An i-Pod and loose change were taken.

Stolen Vehicles

  • On Jan. 23, a 2012 Mercedes Benz with N.J. license plates was stolen while it was parked on the 500 block of Broad Street. Later, a 2008 Acura with N.J. license plates was also stolen while parked on a Jefferson Avenue. 
  • On Jan. 24, a 2013 Hyundai with New York license plates was stolen while parked on the 100 block of N. 17th Street.
  • On Jan. 25, a 2006 BMW with N.J. license plates was stolen while parked on Lake Street.
