Pedophile Priest, Formerly of Bloomfield, Charged With New Crimes in Missouri

A former Catholic Priest found guilty of molesting boys in multiple states who lived in Bloomfield after admitting to abuse and changing his name has been again charged with similar crimes against minors.

The former priest, who changed his name from Carmine Sita to Gerry Howard after pleading guilty to sexual abuse that occurred in the '80s at at St. Aloysius in Jersey City, is now charged with 8 felony counts, including sodomy and kidnapping, connectmidmissouri.com reports. 

Howard was sentenced to five years probation and court-ordered treatment, then changed his name and joined the church SS Peter and Paul in Boonville, Mo where authorities say he sexually assaulted three minors between 1984 and 1987, reports say.

The Jersey Journal reported that Howard was living in Bloomfield when he was arrested in 2010.
