Man Injured in Car Accident
Incident occurred at Mill and Montgomery Streets in Belleville, near the Bloomfield border
Two vehicles were involved in an accident near Mill and Montgomery Streets this afternoon, sending at least one person to the hospital.
The accident occurred at around 4 p.m. at the intersection, which is near the Bloomfield border. Police from Bloomfield and Belleville, along with Belleville firefighters and an ambulance from Nutley, responded to the scene.
The vehicles involved were a Nissan Xterra truck and a white Nissan Sentra. Belleville firefighters were seen helping extricate a man from the Xterra and placing him on a stretcher.
Belleville police did not immediately comment on the incident. Patch will update this story as more information becomes available.
