Jewelry Thefts, Auto Thefts and Criminal Mischief

The following information has been provided by the Bloomfield Police Department. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

BURGLARY

Residential Burglaries

Sept. 21: A resident on the 300 block of Broad Street reported when he returned home from work, his jewelry box was open and various items of jewelry were missing.

Sept. 22: A resident on the 100 block of Elston Street reported someone entered her home and removed two Playstation game consoles sometime between 3:00 and 4:30 p.m. 

Sept. 23: A woman on the 200 block of Davey Street reported she was at home when she saw a Hispanic man with glasses trying to enter her home through a rear window. The suspect fled to the rear parking lot.

Sept. 26: A woman on the 50 block of Valentine Road reported someone entered her home and removed several pieces of jewelry. 

COMMERCIAL

Stolen Vehicles

A 2010 Land Rover was reported stolen from the 50 block of Broad Street.

Sept. 22: A 1999 Dodge was reported stolen from the 100 block of Thomas Street.  

Sept. 24: A 2004 Jeep was reported stolen from the 100 block of Davey Street. 

Sept. 26: A 2003 Jeep was reported stolen from the 200 block of Davey Street. 

Sept. 26: A 2003 Jeep was reported stolen from the 200 block of Davey Street. 

Sept. 26: A 2002 Jeep was reported stolen from the 100 block of Claredon Place. 

Theft From Vehicles

Sept. 25: A resident on the 100 block of Beach Street reported someone broke into his parked truck and removed power tools. 

Theft

Sept. 24:  A resident on the 100 block of Bloomfield Avenue reported someone stole his black bag containing an iPod and his wallet, which contained various credit cards and other forms of ID. 

Robbery

Sept. 24: A man reported he was walking home on the 100 block of Newark Avenue when he was approached by two black men. One of the men pointed a gun at his head while the other man went through his pants pockets. Both men then fled towards Weaver Avenue.

Criminal Mischief
Sept. 21: A business owner reported someone spray painted the back wall of his building on JFK Drive and Beach Street.

Sept. 20: David Leon of Bloomfield was arrested for outstanding warrants. 

Sept. 20: Angel Colon of Newark was arrested for shoplifting. 

Sept. 20:  Ivana Rivera of Bloomfield was arrested for outstanding warrants. 

Sept. 20:  Alexander Chernick of Keansburg was arrested for criminal trespass. 

Sept. 20: Jonathan Pujols of Keansburg was arrested for criminal trespass. 

Sept. 20: Justin Martin of Keansburg was arrested for criminal trespass. 

Sept. 20: Lori Monteiro of Belleville was arrested for theft. 

Sept. 21:  Robert Claybrook of East Orange was a arrested for attempted murder and possession of a weapon. 

Sept. 22: Jenna Siceron of Bloomfield was arrested for simple assault. 

Sept. 22: Derin Burton of East Orange was arrested for outstanding warrants. 

Sept. 22: Eric Shon of Garfield was arrested for contempt. 

Sept. 22: Jahad Butts of Newark was arrested for armed robbery and possession of handgun. 

Sept. 23: Zahkee Jones of Newark was arrested for armed robbery. 

Sept. 23: Idrees McCrimmon of Newark was arrested for armed robbery.
