Two Men Charged in Local Gas Station Robberies
Two men from Irvington and Newark have been charged by Bloomfield police in connection to three township gas station robberies.
The Bloomfield police have recently charged two men in connection to three armed gas station robberies in the township.
Leonard Crosby, 46, of Irvington, and James Scott, 41, of Newark, have been charged with allegedly using a handgun and robbing a Delta and Sunoco gas station on Bloomfield Avenue on May 17 and a Valero gas station on June 20, Bloomfield Poilice Chief Christopher Goul said this week.
No one was hurt during the robberies, Goul said.
Crosby was arrested June 30 by Irvington police in connection to two May robberies at the RPM gas station on Chancellor Ave. Crosby was sent to Essex County Jail on $500,000 bail.
No further arrest information was provided about Scott by police and his name did not appear in a computer search in the Essex County inmate database.
Similar robberies recently took place at gas stations in Bloomfield, Newark, Elizabeth, Hillside, Linden, Nutley and Union.
