Bloomfield Teen Carjacked at Gunpoint, Cops Say

A 19-year-old had his 2008 Nissan Maxima stolen on the 100 block of North 13th Street.

 

A Bloomfield teenager was carjacked at gunpoint last weekend, according to Bloomfield Police. 

Early Saturday morning, a 19-year-old was getting things from the inside of his 2008 Nissan Maxima at 3:50 a.m. on the 100 block of North 13th Street when five men drove up in two separate cars, according to reports.

Three men exited one of the cars — reportedly a black Nissan Maxima — and approached the teen. The Bloomfield teenager told police one of the men pointed a black handgun at him and demanded he empty his pockets. 

The man with the handgun then reached into the Bloomfield teenager’s pocket, took his car keys, and drove away in the teenager’s car. The other two men also fled, in addition to the second vehicle with two occupants — described as a silver Maxima.

The investigation is ongoing, according to police.
