Bloomfield Police Investigate Many Burglaries and a Box Cutter Attack

BURGLARY
RESIDENTIAL
June 29: Someone entered an apartment window on Patterson Drive between 9 a.m. and 4:27 p.m. and stole a laptop computer and jewelry.

July 3: Someone forced open a side apartment window on Orange Street and stole two East Orange police uniforms, a Skylight financial credit card, a black Inspiron laptop and a Sony CD recorder.
July 3: A resident on the 100 block of Franklin Street said someone entered a bedroom window and stole an XBox 360 game console, a PSP60 game console, a Nintendo Wii game system, a VIO laptop and three XBox games.

COMMERCIAL
June 30: An employee at Spice Thai Cuisine on Belleville Avenue reported someone forced open the front door of the establishment and stole $50 from the cash register.
STOLEN VEHICLES
June 29: A 1969 Honda mini-bike was stolen from the 200 block of Montgomery Street.
ATTEMPT THEFT OF VEHICLES
July 2: A 2002 Subaru four-door car was stolen from the 200 block of Sylvan Road.
THEFT FROM VEHICLES
June 29: A wallet with cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at 67 Martin St.
June 30: A wallet was stolen from a vehicle at 6 Fritz St.
July 1: A laptop and a GPS system were stolen from an unlocked car parked at 55 Park Ave.
July 2: A Fraternal Order of Police shield, a flashlight and handcuffs were stolen from a car at 136 N. 15th St.
July 2: A Samsung cell phone, Tom Tom navigation unit and an Ipod were stolen from an unlocked vehicle at 85 Mill St.
July 2: About $25 was stolen from a vehicle at 91 Spruce St.
THEFT
June 29: A victim reported an unknown person stole her wallet while she was shopping.
June 29: A woman reported her wallet was stolen while shopping at Home Depot.
June 29: A woman reported her bicycle, which was locked to a rack, was stolen from the Lackawanna Train Station.
July 1: Three men reportedly stole an umbrella from the Korean Presbyterian Church at 27 Bay Ave.
July 4: A mountain bike was reported stolen from the backyard of a home on the 100 block of North 16 Street.
ROBBERY
July 2: A woman walking on the street reported her purse was stolen from her shoulder by two men who were traveling in a beige vehicle that briefly stopped at the corner of North 15th Street and Abrington Avenue. The car was last seen traveling north on North 15th St.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
June 29: A vehicle parked on the 280 block of Watsessing Avenue was scratched on both sides with a sharp object.
June 30: A rear windshield was broken on a vehicle parked on the 180 block of Davey Street.
July 2: Two car tires were slashed on a vehicle parked on the 60 block of Arch Street.
July 3: The word "Alive" was spray-painted on the side of a house on the 200 block of Glenwood Avenue.
July 4: A vehicle's driver and passenger window was smashed while parked by Bell Street and Davis Avenue.
MISCELLANEOUS
July 2: A man reported being slashed across his face with a box cutter while at the Tropical Market convenience store at 23 Arch St.

June 29: Igor Gotsko, of Bloomfield, was arrested for DWI.
June 30: Jose Rodriguez, of Newark, was arrested for shoplifting.
June 30: Angelica Malloy, of Nutley, was arrested for DWI.
July 1: Robert Chalet, of Bloomfield, was arrested for violation of a restraining order.
July 1: Melissa Dockery, of West Orange, was arrested for outstanding warrants and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
July 2: Eliel Reyes, of Newark, was arrested for outstanding warrants.
July 3: Patricia Piacenza, of Bloomfield, was arrested for disorderly conduct.
July 3: Carlene Scott, of the Bronx, New York, was arrested for obstruction of justice.
July 3: Johnson Keshawna, of the Bronx, New York, was arrested for obstruction of justice.
