Massage Parlor Employee Accused of Propositioning Cop

Police say $16,000 in cash was found inside the Bloomfield Avenue spa.

A Bloomfield Avenue massage spa employee has been charged with prostitution after propositioning an undercover officer, police said.

Bloomfield police said an undercover officer entered the Health Spa at 559 Bloomfield Ave. and received a massage that he paid for with marked bills. Police said during the investigation, the masseuse propositioned him. The office called the rest of the team to search the premises.

A woman working at the spa, Ming Ji Jiang, 50, of Flushing, N.Y., told officers she was the spa’s manager and permitted them to search the business.

During the search, investigators found the marked bills used by the undercover officer along with more than $16,000 in cash, hidden throughout the business, police said. The cash was confiscated and taken into evidence for forfeiture.  

After being identified as the woman who propositioned the undercover agent, Ming Ji Jiang, 50, was arrested and taken to police headquarters and charged with engaging in prostitution and operating without a masseuse license.

The Bloomfield Township Health Department and clerk's office were notified of the alleged illegal activity and were going to investigate if any health code violations existed and if any business license violations had occurred.
