Bloomfield Man Gets Life In Prison for Strangulation Death of Girlfriend

Frank Rendfrey killed live-in girlfriend Angela Paranzino three years ago in Old Bridge

 

A Bloomfield man was sentenced to life in prison today for the murder of his girlfriend Angela Paranzino, 28, three years ago in Old Bridge.  Frank Rendfrey, 37, of Bloomfield, will not be eligible for thirty-five years.

According to an NJ.com article published Monday, Superior Court Judge Diane Pinkus also ordered Rendfrey to pay Paranzino's mother, Cindy, more than $9,600 in restitution.

Pinkus had harsh words for the defendant at sentencing, according to the article, saying, "This was a senseless murder committed in a diabolical way."

According to reports, Rendfrey strangled Paranzino and then attempted to make the killing look like a robbery and drug overdose. He was convicted of murder, witness tampering, theft, and hindering his own apprehension.

Redfrey’s family protested the conviction, insisting he is innocent.
