Poorly run recreation department!

I am a mother in Bloomfield and feel the need to share my thoughts and experience with the recreation department so other parents are aware before allowing there children to be involved.  I have come to realize that like many other situations it's who you know that gets you what you want.  They will claim to be doing things for reasons that are untrue, thinking people (parents) are stupid. I am truly disappointed in the way things are run. 

My daughter is a apart of a softball team run by the rec and at first I thought it was great. I quickly came to realize it is all about the coaches that the rec members clearly favor that get there way. They have even went as far as having non certified people coach just to please the ones they favor. I also sat and watched a game where the umpire actually turned toward the stands and said I don't have patience for people that don't pay attention. This was directed about one of the coaches that happened to turn and answer a question to a parent. This is a child league and what lesson are we teaching them when the umpires are bullies themselves.

Now I was told my child would be playing her championship game on Friday. All of a sudden the game is conveniently moved to Monday to again please another FAVORED coach.  Not only is this causing scheduling conflicts for many of our players but from what I'm told they will not try to accommodate us in any way. They want us to play our final game without our coaches. What will my daughter think when her coaches aren't there for there most important game. But as the rec will tell us who cares at least they get to play. 

Very disappointed in this whole situation. I am surprised that when it comes to children it doesn't matter to them.  These are people who's jobs are to create and run programs for OUR children. This scares me. If certain people need/want things the recreation employees are going to do it and lie to us plain folk to get it for them!!! Don't forget get we pay $$$ for our kids to play in Bloomfield rec sports so they need to be far to all.
