Frank Pallone Launches New Ad In U.S. Senate Bid

'Let the other guys take the limo,' Pallone says in his second television spot.

U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone (D-6) today unveiled his second television ad in support of his bid to become New Jersey's junior U.S. Senator.

The 30-second spot breaks no new ground from his first ad, showing him driving around in a Chevy Impala and talking about how he "gets things done" in Congress.

The ad touts Pallone's work on the Affordable Care Act and protecting Social Security and Medicare from funding cuts.

The ad will run in New York and Philadelphia markets, on broadcast and cable networks, according to a release.

Pallone faces Newark Mayor Cory Booker, U.S. Rep. Rush Holt (D-12) and state Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver (D-34) in an Aug. 13 special primary election. The winner will face the GOP nominee – Somerset physician Alieta Eck or Steve Lonegan, former Bogota mayor – in an Oct. 16 special general election.

Pallone also on Tuesday was expected to receive the endorsement of former Congressman Patrick Kennedy, son of the late Senator Edward M. Kennedy.
