Music at the Mansion

NiCori Studios and Productions in association with Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center announces a new installment in the monthly concert series, "Music at the Mansion", on Sunday, October 28, at 3pm.  Performers to include singer Jim Speake, Singer/Songwriter Clare Cooper and Musical Director/Singer John DiPinto.

Jim Speake is an actor/ singer living in New York City.  Jim has been cast in a number of Off Off Broadway productions in Brooklyn and Manhattan. He has also been in cabaret shows at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in Waterford, CT as well as Birdland, The Encore, Don't Tell Mama, the Duplex and The Metropolitan Room in NYC. 

Clare Cooper is a singer/songwriter/keyboardist who performs as a solo artist, band member and musical director. A graduate of Berklee College of Music and winner of the Songwriter's Guild of America President's Award and Abe Olman Scholarship, Clare has released two CDs, “Northern Drive” and “Valentine” and is composer for musical comedy “How To Marry A Divorced Man.” She has performed as musical director for Off Broadway, cabaret and school productions, entertained in hospitals and nursing homes, and is currently studying Creative Arts Therapy at The New School.

John DiPinto is a musician, singer, songwriter, actor, musical director and arranger. He has worked extensively in the NY theatre and cabaret scenes. In 2011 he was musical director for I'm Getting My Act Together And Taking it On The Road as part of the York Theatre’s' MUFTI series. He was also musical director and arranger for NYMF 2010’s production of Trav’lin’, a new musical featuring the songs of composer J.C. Johnson. He has conducted on Broadway (Footloose) and Off-Broadway (Langston In Harlem, Altar Boyz). He and his singing partner Mary Foster Conklin have performed their shows Maybe It’s Because Of Love and Down For Double at various cabaret venues, to rave reviews. John was the house pianist/ bandleader for the long-running Metrojam open mike at the Metropolitan Room and has served as musical director for many of New York’s finest singers.
John is currently an Adjunct Professor at New Jersey City University, and works as a musical director for NYU’s Graduate Musical Theatre Writing program. He has composed original music for the University of Pennsylvania’s Mask & Wig shows, as well as an eclectic variety of vocal and instrumental music. He is currently compiling songs for his first CD.
"Music at the Mansion" is a series showcasing talented performers from NYC and NJ.  The series is hosted by NYC Cabaret singer and Bloomfield resident Corinna Sowers-Adler and features Deborah Martin on piano. This program is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts and administered by the Essex County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs.
