The Week Ahead: Another School Budget Talk and Council Meeting
Notable stories in the week ahead include another BOE meeting on the schools budget shortfall.
Monday
Bloomfield's Township Council meets at 7 p.m. at the Municipal building. The Council will recognize the achievements of the seventh grade girls' basketball team and address environmental recognition "Earth Hour" during proclamations.
Ordinances include the final passage of the new hours for barbershops and nail salons. The full agenda is online here.

Tuesday
The Bloomfield Board of Education will hold a special meeting at the school Bloomfield High School Auditorium. According to an announcement on the Board's website, board members will again discuss issues surrounding the 2013-2014 budget.

This will be the third March meeting devoted to the budget, which as it stands calls for loss of more than 80 teacher jobs and larger classroom sizes for elementary school classes.
Thursday
Bloomfield's Board of Health meets at Mayor's Conference Room on the Second Floor of the Law Enforcement Building. The meeting's agenda is not yet online.
