School and Government Meetings and Opening Day for Youth Sports in the Week Ahead
Upcoming events and happenings of note in Bloomfield.
Bloomfield’s Township Committee meets on Monday night at the Law Enforcement Building in Room 205.
Three items on the agenda reference the township’s upcoming budget: Township Council Budget Recommendations, a Budget Update and a resolution on the Budget. The Council will also hear a water feasibility study and discuss the status of construction on the State Police barracks.
Bloomfield’s Board of Education meets on Tuesday at the School Administration building. The meeting is the first after the resolution of the budget crisis that consumed packed BOE meetings in February and March. The agenda, available online here does not indicate anything as dramatic as discussed in those meetings.

It’s opening weekend for recreation baseball and softball. The Bloomfield Little League kicks off on Saturday and the Peppermint Softball opening day is Sunday.
