PVSC Crews Remove Felled Tree From Bloomfield's Third River

Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission says removal will help control flooding on the Garden State Parkway in Bloomfield.

On Thursday morning, a Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission work crew dragged a giant fallen tree from the Third River, which runs parellel to the Garden State Parkway in Bloomfield. 

The PVSC workers were targetting the area on the recommendation of Bloomfied DPW crews, who had noted that the Hurricane Sandy related debris would was causing a flood hazard for the area.
