If you think you’ve seen everything people can do with a fiddle, then you haven’t seen Bowfire. Take an ensemble of crack violinists (prize-winners all) plus an assortment of accompanying musicians, and the result is nothing short of a total violin experience. “Crossover” doesn’t begin to explain this white-hot fusion of every style of fiddle music imaginable, from classical, rock and bluegrass, to gypsy, jazz and Celtic. The result: a label-defying evening of musical firepower, replete with step and tap dancing, plus dazzling sets, lighting and costumes. Think Riverdance – but with violins!
